The Plakafeu strip is used for all expansion joints (up to 60 mm) in buildings requiring fire resistance up to 240 minutes.
The test report certifying the fire reaction classification was performed as per European Standard EN1366-4.
The strips are particularly suited to fire protection for Titan expansion dowel systems.
The Plakafeu must be anchored into concrete on either side using appropriate springs or Jointofeu® glue to ensure that the Plakafeu actually follows the joint expansion movements, hence ensuring fire resistance.
