Acoustic wall tie 12.01.01

Add to my wish list

Noise and vibration from the traffic, wind, etc. induce vibrations in the building's exterior wall. They are transmitted to the internal structure through the masonry hooks. By replacing typical hooks with acoustic hooks, the mass-spring-mass principle is implemented, reducing considerably the transmission of vibrations to the structure.

Applications:

- Separation of façade-facing walls when outdoor noise is high.

- Temporary lateral façade of semi-detached houses.

- Double wall between apartments.

- Separation of noisy interior rooms.

Benefits
 • Increases acoustic comfort
 • The specific frequency is about 15 Hz.
 • Easy installation
 • Technical support from our sales team and our engineering office
LEVIAT technical advice

•The frequency specific to the acoustic hook is about 15 Hz. This means that there is already good acoustic insulation for frequencies from 21 Hz (15Hz x √2), which is below the audible domain.
•Use a flexible insulator for better results.
•Quantity: as specified by the stability engineer (Calculation imposed by Eurocode 6 - NBN EN 1996-1-1 with a minimum 5 p/m² as per the Belgian National Annex)
