The expansion joint is made of 2 upper plates made of steel (raw, galvanised, or stainless), to allow optimum protection of the lips of the joint.
Welded dowels are used on both sides to anchor these plates in the concrete.
As the slab hardens, the concrete shrinks and the lips of the joint move apart to limit stresses in the concrete.
The vertical forces are borne by intermittent flat studs, which are distributed along the length of the profile.
On one side of the joint, the flat studs are directly embedded in the concrete; and on the other, they are inserted into a sleeve to allow horizontal sliding in both directions.
The finish of the concrete slab edges is neat and stable
The lightweight design allows for very easy positioning
The height of the joint is adjustable, to best suit your site
The two parts of the concrete slabs can be concreted in one or two phases, which makes their implementation more flexible
The product is covered by European Technical Assessment (ETA) 20/0910
Special elements for creating angles or crossings are available on request
Several dowel thicknesses are available, depending on the load to be applied to the joint. Please contact us for more information.
