The DEMU coupling system is designed to implement mechanical links between reinforcements in concrete constructions. The DEMU joining device combines safety and technical performance thanks to its special compressed threads. The sleeved assembly resists static solicitations particularly well.
Upset threads always have a diameter larger than the bar itself. For example, on a 12 mm diameter bar, an M16 thread is made.
1. Type 4010: The Demu 4010 female coupler is made of a serrated steel bar B500B (rough steel) as per EN 10080 and a crimped sleeve. The sleeve has a metric thread and is electro-galvanised. The Demu 4010 female coupler forms, together with the Demu 2020 overlap bar, a continuous reinforcement in the concrete. Demu 4010 couplers can be folded on request. The L1 and L2 lengths must be specified in the order.
2. Type 2020: The 2020 overlap bar is made of a serrated forged steel bar B500B (rough steel) as per EN 10080 and an isometric rolled net at one end of the bar. The Demu 4010 female coupler forms, together with the Demu 2020 overlap bar, a continuous reinforcement in the concrete.
