Metallo-plastic cones are used for applications such as the construction of watertight concrete walls. Two cones are necessary for each tie rod. They are held at a distance in the formwork by a Dywidag rod cut at a good length, which will remain embedded in the concrete. The formwork is tightened using two other pieces of recoverable outer Dywidag rods screwed into these two cones.
The load capacity is identical to that of the Dywidag rod.
The metallo-plastic cone can be removed from the formwork easily thanks to its strong conicity as well as plastic coating. It will be unscrewed using a hexagonal wrench.
In addition, the remaining hole can be closed easily using the concrete counterweight and the corresponding glue.
It is recommended to smear the cones with stripping fluid prior to fitting, to facilitate their extraction.
