Thermoshim 02.01.11
Add to my wish listThe Thermoshim is a thermal break plate that increases the thermal resistance of the Korbo masonry supports. Fit these synthetic plates between the Korbo brackets and the supporting structure.
Benefits
- Limits heat loss through Korbo Brackets
- Very low thermal conductivity coefficient: λ = 0,23 W/mK
- Strong enough to withstand the compression forces from the Korbo brackets
- Can also be used as shim plates in case of deviating cavity widths or irregularities
- Adapted to fit both Plaka-Korbo and Scaldex-Sumo brackets
Galvanized carbon steel (λ = ± 50 W/mK) has a thermal conductivity coefficient higher than that of stainless steel (λ = ± 15 W/mK). This is why, in the case of galvanized Korbos, we recommend to always place Thermoshim plates between the brackets and the load-bearing structure to limit heat loss.
- Material: Nylon 6 (PA6)
- Thermal conductivity coefficient: λ = 0,23 W/mK
- Moisture and heat resistant
- Thickness: 6 mm for Korbo (Sumo available in 2 mm and 6 mm)
- Width: 70 mm
- Height: according to the Korbo bracket dimensions (see technical datasheet)
- Fastener opening: Ø 18 mm
- Colour: according to the Korbo bracket dimensions (see technical datasheet)
- Ensure that the Thermoshims and other filling plates are sufficiently high so that the two points of contact, namely the height regulating plate at the top and the adjustment bolt at the bottom, are fully supported.
- If the Thermoshims extend too far beyond the supporting structure, the outer 40 mm may be broken off, provided that the two points of contact are still fully supported.
- A maximum of two Thermoshims or other filling plates are allowed behind the height regulating plate.
- Starting at a total of 10 mm of filling, an M16 anchor bolt must be used.
- In total, no more than 12 mm may be filled without additional verification by the Leviat engineer. Please contact us if you have any questions.
- Installation instructions for Korbo and Sumo masonry supports are available on the website. Always respect the anchoring instructions in the technical file that Leviat prepares for each individual project.
- Use only filling plates supplied by Leviat.
