Add to my wish listMapegrout Colabile is a mortar based on special high strength hydraulic binders, with selected charges, specific additives and synthetic fibres developed according to a formula devised in MAPEI research laboratories.
Once mixed, Mapegrout Colabile is a fluid mortar with a consistency perfectly adapted to casting in formwork without segregation, including in high thickness. To favour proper and comprehensive expansion, Mapegrout Colabile, particularly when mixed with water, must set in a humid environment. However, these conditions are difficult to guarantee on the worksite. To allow this air expansion phenomenon, Mapegrout Colabile can be supplemented with 0.25% Mapecure SRA, which is a special additive reducing plastic shrinkage and hydraulic shrinkage. Mapecure SRA plays a very important part as it allows better mortar maturation. When Mapecure SRA is added to Mapegrout Colabile, it may be considered as being a technological advanced system, as the additive reduces fast evaporation of the mortar mixing water, and hence favour the development of hydration reactions. Mapecure SRA behaves like a curing product, and thanks to the interaction with a few components in the cement, it allows obtaining a final shrinkage of 20 to 50% lower than the standard values of the non-additive product, with less risk of cracking. The product can also be used without Mapecure SRA when the ambient conditions allow for optimum drying.

Mapegrout Colabile can be used for thicknesses of up to 40 mm. For greater thicknesses, add appropriate granulates up to about 30 to 50% product weight (first contact our Technical Support department).
For a strength exceeding the flexion and shocks, use Mapegrout Colabile TI 20, casting mortar with compensated shrinkage, fibres and high ductility to be used with rigid steel fibres.
Do not apply Mapegrout Colabile on smooth concrete. Make the surface highly rough and add compensation reinforcements if applicable.
Do not use Mapegrout Colabile for precision anchoring (use Mapefill or Mapefill R).
Do not use Mapegrout Colabile by projection or trowel (use Mapegrout Thixotrope).
Do not add cement or additives to Mapegrout Colabile.
Do not add water to the mix once it starts to cure.
Do not apply Mapegrout Colabile at temperatures below +5°C (use Mapefill R).
Do not use Mapegrout Colabile if the bag is damaged or if it has been opened beforehand.
