Add to my wish listTo optimise the acoustic insulation between apartments or terraced houses, the structure must be doubled and the slab interrupted. However, these constructions are less rigid (stable) than constructions with continuous slab.
Riba Silent transmits traction and compression loads without penalising acoustic insulation. It also prevents horizontal displacements from becoming too high.
Riba Silent combines perfectly with the CRET Silent sound damping shear dowels, for example in the case of exterior galleries. The CRET Silent will take up shear loads, whereas the Riba Silent will take up horizontal tension/compression loads, perpendicular to the insulation joint. With the combination of these two products, the exterior galleries are no longer a source of transmission of impact noise inside the buidling.
