Wall tie with a bent end 02.05.02
Add to my wish listThe masonry hook is folded at the tip placed in the load-bearing wall mortar joint. The hook is anchored into the facing masonry by folding the other straight end.
These hooks are used for anchoring facing masonry in the case of double walls with a masonry load-bearing structure.
•The length is determined by the width of the gap in the hollow wall. Ensure the masonry hooks are anchored deeply enough at both ends.
•Eurocode recommends using stainless steel masonry hooks (MX3 exposure class).
•Quantity: as specified by the stability engineer (Calculation imposed by Eurocode 6 - NBN EN 1996-1-1 with a minimum 5 p/m² as per the Belgian National Annex)
- Place the folded end into the interior masonry axis.
- Place the insulator, the insulator fastener and the drop break by pressing the insulator against the interior wall.
- Fold the other end of the hook along the facing masonry axis using the hook pliers.
